Hi all,

Well Marilyn's litter is now 8 weeks old, and the time has gone extremely fast. We are constantly posting updated photo's on facebook of this litter, please feel free to take a look. 

We are very happy with the quality of these kittens. This is a first litter for mum and first for dad, so we're very excited to watch them develop as they get older. 

Our pretty blue girl from Adoradolls is due to give birth in February. This will be her first litter, and our vet advised us that it feels like she only has the one baby. We cannot wait for this little one to be born - and maybe (fingers crossed) there might be another baby hiding? Stay tuned on facebook to find out.

A quick note to let you know that our Wroxton Ragdolls page is back on Facebook. Here you will find updated photo's (and memories) of present cats, past cats and litters etc.

Marilyn is very pregnant, and only has a couple of weeks to go. We expect around 5 or 6 kitttens, as she looks quite large at this stage, but who knows if it's more fat than babies, as she certainly has quite the appetite on her! All of these babies are currently reserved. 

Hi Everyone! 

Just a quick update. We are very pleased to announce that Marilyn is expecting her first litter. She has quite the tummy on her already and it is only early days, so we do wonder how many she has in there! The excited father is Elonadolls Don Juan, one of our imports from Austria. We are very much looking forward to this litter. I expect nothing short of outstanding temperaments in these babies. Don is extremely laid back for an entire male, and Marilyn is the most docile cat we have ever bred.

We do have people waiting on our list, so these babies will already be reserved. 

We have done something accidentally to the website (not sure what), and lost everything that we had updated recently. With free time being so sparse at the moment, we have not had a chance to do it again, but we do hope to have it done as soon as we can. We have 3 new imports which will be added, as well as a fourth flying to us next year.

Hi everyone, so much has happened since I have updated. 

We're no longer on facebook. We may return in a few months once we have babies so we can share kitten photo's on the fan page. There does not seem to be enough hours in the days at the moment to keep it updated, so we thought it was better to close it, as the less we post, the more we will not show in your news feed due to the silly Facebook algorithms. We will, however, try to update the website on a more regular basis, so please check back for up and coming pregnancies and births.  

We had a new boy from Germany join us in March. What a journey that was with this particular breeder! Duke is a seal bi colour, and has great boning along with a beautiful ear set and beautiful coat. We look forward to his babies.

We also had a new addition from New Zeland as well. Now, this importing process with Keryn from Adoradolls Ragdolls was a dream come true. A beautiful lady to work with, and the female that we have from her (Ella) is just the sweetest girl, who is also very beautiful! Ella is a blue point, and we hope to see her babies next year.

Lastly, but not least, we also welcomed our final import boy from Austria near the start of this month. This boy is from Elonadolls Ragdolls, and what a dream boat this boy is. He is the friendliest and smoochiest cat I have ever had from a breeder! He is so much nicer than his photos depicted and we are very much looking forward to his babies. His breeder Simona was another perfect breeder to work with! A big thank you to Simona and Keryn for their beautiful babies!

It's May 1st. Where has the year gone already? The end of breeding season is already here, and will start again in the warmer months.

We have 1 litter still under foot, and they are Sophie's Boys. 6 kittens. 6 boys. What a handful they are. But they are such a delight! Soon they will be off for their first vaccination, and then 3 or 4 weeks after that they will be off for the rest of their vet work to be done before setting off to their new homes. As we will not have any further litters until 2015, I am quite sad at the thought of this litter leaving.

Our next mating will be Izzy, which will be at the end of the year with Louie. Louie is our seal point stud boy. This may be Louie's last litter. Whilst he has given us some beautiful kittens, we're hoping to bring in another boy with more size and attributes according to the ragdoll standard. We feel we're lacking in a few of these areas, and when we started breeding we agreed to adhere to the current standard or improve it - and this is what we're trying to do. 

Plans for next season:

Izzy will go to Louie (seal and blue kittens in points and mitts.)
Sophie will be mated with Supie again next year - let's hope she gives us some girls! (seal and blue kittens in points and bi colours.)

Also, we may have a couple of surprises in store...new additions?...new enclosure?..different direction?..new breed?..new colours?...keep an eye out on our Facebook page later in the year!

In regards to our waiting list: We have closed it for now for our next lot of kittens, but I will let everyone know once it has re-opened. 

For us now, we will soon start pruning here, and lambing season starts in a few weeks, and we expect around 300 lambs. It is a cold time of year for us in Australia.. the wood fire is going 24/7, and it's jeans, boots and oil skins for the next few months. I will make sure to post some photo's on our Facebook page for those interested. In the meantime, while our page may be a little quite once Sophie's kitten leave, if you have any question's, please do not hesitate to ask! 

Hi everyone! I just wanted to bring up a couple of issues that come with breeding cats. It is not directed at any individual, but I just wanted to clarify a couple of points.

We are not a cattery. We are small hobby breeders. We get many emails asking to come and visit our cats and play with our kittens. Our home is not open to everyone to come and walk through. Our home is open to those that wish to adopt a kitten from us only. Visiting Wroxton Ragdolls is only by appointment, and this is dependant upon the age of our kittens. This is due to health concerns for our babies and mothers. Visits are usually made one week after the kittens have had their first vaccination.

 It is extremely important to be on time when coming to view your kitten. By being late you are holding everyone else up that will be visiting their baby that day. We are  farmers, so free time to us is rare. I apologise if this comes across harsh, but even being half an hour late throws our entire day out of wack. If you are unsure how long it will take you to arrive at our property, please let us know where you will be coming from, and we will let you know how long it will take to get here. 

I also get asked all the time 'Can you recommend another breeder' - Yes we can, however whilst we know the majority of registered breeders in South Australia (and many across Australia) we are happy to give you tips on what to look for when visiting a breeders house. Every breeder runs their 'program' differently, but obviously the things to look out for is if a breeder invites you to view their kittens outside, or if the kittens look unwell. Bringing up a litter of kittens is never an easy or clean feat - there might be kitten toys everywhere, and there may even be a little litter on the ground if there is a litter box in the room(which there should be) - but in general you should have a good understanding of how the kittens are being brought up.

We invite you to our sun-room to view the babies, as this is 'their' room. Here they can make as much mess as they want, and they have their beds, scratching posts, litter trays, and ample toys. We like you to see the environment that they are comfortable in. At a later age they get run of the house and most evenings you can find them in the lounge room or on our bed. Our kittens do not live outside, nor do they go outside while they are with us. Ragdolls are an inside cat, but once they get a bit older, they love to go out in to the outside enclosure which is totally enclosed with netting for their safety.

Hi Everyone!

Well the last of Izzys babies leaves today. Izzy had 5 beautiful babies in early January to Supie. She had 2 females and 3 males. Loki, Zoe, Blaze, Cali and Thor have all found wonderful homes! We have had updates already, and everyone appears to have settled well in to their new homes.

This leaves us with Sophie's babies who were born in early March, and turn 6 weeks old next week. She had 6 very cute babies, and they are all BOYS!

Sophie's babies will be our last litter for this year - boy we are we going to have a very quiet household for the second half of the year! Up to date photo's for Sophie's babies can be found on our Facebook page.
